Package com.sun.dtv.test Description

Provides an extensive test harness support.

Description

This framework allows the development of an extensive test harness focusing on supporting application conformance tests. As found typically in Java test environment, that environment involves a test server and a test client using any communication mean to transfer a given test (or test suite) onto the platform, run it and retrieve (or receive) the test results.

The following classes and interfaces compose this package:

• TestHarness: this is the entry point for running a test or a test suite and provides a the communication means to the test server as well as access to the local test lot;
• TestCase: every test must implement this interface. Parameters may be passed using args[] which then must be taken into account by the test;
• Report: embodies the result of a test which comprises a code, a reference and a related reason.
